Tony Arioli – Biography

Dr. Tony Arioli has been Director of R&D at Seasol International for 14 years. Tony has a PhD in plant molecular biology from the Australian National University and has achieved numerous scientific publications and patents in the agricultural and seaweed biostimulant fields. At Seasol he has played a pivotal role in driving innovation and advancing the company’s product portfolio, ensuring sustainable and high-performance solutions for farmers and gardeners worldwide. Tony oversees an R&D program dedicated to innovation of new biostimulant products that enhance plant growth and resilience. He has been instrumental in groundbreaking research that has significantly boosted our understand of how seaweed extracts work. Tony’s efforts have led to the successful introduction of eco-friendly solutions that cater to the evolving needs of global agriculture.

Tony is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Deakin University, where he continues to contribute to academic research and mentor the next generation of scientists. Before joining Seasol, Tony worked in one of the first Cooperative Research Centres in Canberra and Bayer Cropscience, and led academic and industry research programs and alliances in Australia, Europe, and the USA, where he established a new Bayer Cropscience R&D centre in Texas USA.
