The Kings Park Festival celebrates the beauty and diversity of Western Australian wildflowers and is held in the Perth park during the entire month of September.

This year’s festival will be a feast for the senses with thousands of wildflowers and more than 3,000 native plant species on display. There will be dozens of free events including, outdoor exhibitions, guided walks and talks, photography displays and family activities.  The nursery, run by horticulturalists and volunteers, are growing more than 25,000 plants to augment the existing displays at the garden.

The festival attracts about half a million visitors, many from overseas and interstate who travel to the South West of Western Australia in spring to enjoy the wildflowers in one of the world’s most beautiful biodiversity hotspots.Southwest Australia is one of 25 original global hotspots for wildlife and plants, and the first one identified in Australia.
